About the work

This video demonstrates "DealWithIt", a speculative fiction mobile application I created. It takes as its subject the colonial monument in Braunschweig, and suggests possible options for dealing with such problematic monuments, including visualizations of its demolition, re-appropriation by artists and recontextualisation, imagining alternative futures for these contentious symbols.
